This cerimonial arch was built in 1927 in Mumbai (Bombay) to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary. Inspired in the 16th century Gujarati architecture, it was constructed in yellow basalt. It has a great historycal value, cause the last british troops to leave India by sea, passed through this gate.
About me: I'm just a social sciences student from Delhi, decendent of hindus and british and I just love my country and its history.
